Best value coffee
Cafés and coffee shops hide under cup size jargon such as Large or Grande. But how much coffee are you actually getting? We find out to put to bed any doubts you may have had.
Whether you are loyal to a particular coffee shop chain or not, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t try out cafés’ signature hot beverages at different retail shops. There is a vast difference between the cup serving sizes used by coffee shops.
We discovered that even though Costa Coffee charges the most for its smallest cup of coffee, the quantity is a lot more than you would get for approximately the same price at other retail chains such as Starbucks, Barista or Café Coffee Day.
We did a little digging into coffee shops’ cappuccino serving size and price. Here’s what we found out.
|Café name||Cup Size||Quantity (ml)||Price (Rs)||Price per 100ml (Rs)|
|Café Coffee Day||Regular||225||73||32.44|
|Café Coffee Day||King||350||87||24.85|
If you want the most value for your money (in terms of the quantity you are getting), head over to a Costa Coffee outlet near you to get the biggest possible serving size for your buck. Café Coffee Day’s king size cup also gives you the best value for money.
On the other hand, Starbucks and Barista’s smaller size portions turn out to be the most expensive compared to other coffee shops.
